Peptide Reconstitution Calculator

Use this calculator to determine the concentration of a reconstituted peptide after adding bacteriostatic water.

Concentration Formula

Peptide amount ÷ amount of bacteriostatic water = concentration per mL

Example

A 10 mg peptide vial reconstituted with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water:

10 mg ÷ 2 mL = 5 mg/mL

The final concentration is 5 mg per mL.

Calculate Your Concentration

Enter the amount shown on the peptide vial and the amount of bacteriostatic water added.

Peptide amount: _____ mg

Bacteriostatic water added: _____ mL

Calculation:

_____ mg ÷ _____ mL = _____ mg/mL

Converting Milligrams to Micrograms

Some peptide measurements are expressed in micrograms.

1 mg = 1,000 mcg

Examples:

  • 0.1 mg = 100 mcg
  • 0.25 mg = 250 mcg
  • 0.5 mg = 500 mcg
  • 1 mg = 1,000 mcg
  • 2 mg = 2,000 mcg
  • 5 mg = 5,000 mcg
  • 10 mg = 10,000 mcg

To convert milligrams to micrograms, multiply by 1,000.

Example:

0.3 mg × 1,000 = 300 mcg

To convert micrograms to milligrams, divide by 1,000.

Example:

500 mcg ÷ 1,000 = 0.5 mg

Important Notes

Always confirm the amount printed on the vial before performing any calculation.

Use the total volume of liquid added to the vial when calculating the final concentration.

Adding more bacteriostatic water creates a more diluted solution. Adding less bacteriostatic water creates a more concentrated solution.

The maximum volume that can be added depends on the physical capacity of the vial.

This calculator determines concentration only. It does not recommend an amount for administration or establish a research protocol.
